Ever look in the mirror and wonder, “Why can’t I lose this weight?” or “Isn’t there more to life than this?” or maybe, “I’m successful, why am I not happier?”
Stop asking yourself those questions and do something about it! Okay, I know, easier said than done right? I used to think so, but it’s honestly just a BIG lie that we all tell ourselves.
Watch here…
3 Steps to Change
Step 1: Decide what you want to change.
Make a decision about what you want to change in your life and then ask yourself some questions.
For example:
- Overweight? Ask yourself how much weight you would like to lose and what you would like to look like.
- Want to have more in your life? Ask yourself what you could do to make yourself feel more fulfilled and what a fulfilled life looks like for you.
- Not happy? Ask yourself what would make you happy and what would make you happy long term.
Some of these questions are going to be hard to answer, but worth it!
Step 2: Ask yourself what you’re willing to give up to change.
“Deidre, give stuff up? Are you kidding? I don’t want to give stuff up, I just want great stuff to happen!”
Sorry, but every piece of greatness that comes into our lives comes at a level of sacrifice. Think about it! If you want to lose weight, you may have to be willing to give up comfort of sleeping in and not working out. If you want to feel more fulfilled, you may have to give up the comfort of your current job. If you want to be happier, you may have to give up your personal pride reassess where your life is and how you conduct your daily routine.
In order to attain greatness, come to an understanding with yourself about what it is you’re willing to give up to change! In the end, it’s all about resetting the way you think.
Step 3: Change
Now, I understand that I’m making it sound simplistic. That’s because it is – we make it harder! The toughest part is our mindset. So, get your butt in gear! Put an action plan into place and start changing. Be accountable to yourself and give yourself credit when you follow-through! In the end, you’ll find that you love yourself more than you ever imagined and your capable of more than you believed.
